The altarpieces of the Virgin of the Pillar, the Virgin of the Rosary, Saint Vincent, Saint Barbara and the Crucifixion belong to the Baroque era (17th to 18th century) and display heavy artistic ornamentation. They are carved in local pinewood, with Solomon columns, and decorated with vegetable patterns and motifs taken from mythology. Those of Saint Vincent and Saint Barbara were not covered in gold leaf, and thus their magnificent craftsmanship can be appreciated much better. |
